San Secario 2013 – Day 2

March 24, 2013

WP_000691Day 2: Wonderful first day skiing after fresh snow overnight. The visibility was low but all groups managed to snake their way down the mountain beautifully for 2 hours before, and 2 hours after, another hearty feed. A dozen pupils did a stretching class this afternoon and the rest are taking part in a table tennis competition. After dinner there is karaoke and then lights out for a well-earned sleep ready for day 3. Reports are indicating we will have blue skies so fingers crossed for the perfect conditions to enjoy all this fantastic snow!

Please note the WiFi here is terrible and so I may not be able to provide daily updates for the rest of the week – sorry. Tonight I have commandeered to computer in reception for this blog post and I am not sure how keen the staff will be for the rest of the week.

If you do not hear from me again for a few days rest assured the pupils are having a lovely holiday. The instructors are great and after a few late shuffles this morning all the four ability groups are set up perfectly. Ci vediamo dopo!

Please could you check with Rory that his ski gloves are sufficient,as he went off with a spring pair and might not be warm enough! Dont want his fingers droppong off!
maybe someone has a pair of thicker ones he could borrow?
    Happy skiing!

Rorys gloves are doing the job. He might buy some on Wed night when we go into the village to do some shopping but he said they are warm enough – just not quite as toasty as usual.
