Morocco day 7 – Marrakesh

October 30, 2013

Certainly better weather than Penzance. In fact a perfect day for touring Marrakesh. We visited the olive groves, the Kourtubia mosque and the Saadian tombs, before  a stroll through the souk. Katie proved to be the top bargainer with her firm approach. We also enjoyed a fascinating visit to a traditional pharmacy, with various herbs and potions purchased.
After freshening up at the hotel we returned to see Djemaa el Fna by night, followed by dinner and entertainment in a local restaurant. We will be sad to leave tomorrow, but have a chance for a few more bargains in the morning.
