Normandy – Year 6 – Day 2

July 2, 2014

After a pleasant but long journey, we arrived at la Grand’Ferme to be welcomed by our lovely host and given a tour of the property. We do Normandyjul14not know which bit was the most exciting: the lovely airy dorms, the football pitch, the table tennis, the indoor basketball court, the 1 day old baby guinea pigs, the pregnant chinchilla or the big screen to watch the World Cup! Allez la France by the way! After a good night sleep and a delicious breakfast, we boarded the coach for the Mont St Michel and its surroundings. We learnt a lot about the region, the tides, the history and discovered lots about the Mont itself. We finished our walk around the bay by making our very own quicksand but we all walked through safely! We are off to try and get the mud off our feet before getting ready for dinner followed by a treasure hunt in the grounds.
