Pre-Prep adventures #2 – 12th November 2015 – Ballard School

November 12, 2015

Last Thursday Reception, Yr1 and Yr2 joined Paul at the Hoburne Bashley Woodland Centre for a morning of Autumn activities. They made badges from hazel wood, hunted for minibeasts, discovered the smallest puff balls and toasted marshmallows on a bonfire. A perfect morning and all completed just before the rain started!

Since then we have been involved with making models of rockets, painting sparkly and twirly firework pictures and thinking of lots of adjectives to describe the fantastic firework displays we saw last week. Most importantly of all we discovered why we actually have fireworks on the 5th November.

On Tuesday the children from KG1 to Yr2 took part in 4 separate Drama4all workshops entitled Myths and Legends.
The youngest children went on an adventure with Merlin and his cat to visit the friendly dragon and the older children visited King Arthur and helped to remove the sword from the stone. We love imagination!
