Musical Interlude at Ballard

New Milton Music Festival

The New Milton Music Festival took place this weekend, at one of the local schools, Arnewood.

Here below are some of the results from the festival, with more confirmations of honours to follow.

Senior handbells – highly commended
Brass ensemble – distinction and a cup
Flute trio – distinction and a cup
Saxophone quartet – distinction and a cup
String ensemble – honours and a cup

We also had some of our soloists win their classes in recorder, harp and violin.

Ballard pupils represented the school exceptionally well and we are extremely proud and encouraged to see the range and depth of talent displayed by all who performed.

Adult Choirs

Our parents’ choir had its first performance outside of internal concerts this weekend as part of the ‘Adult Choirs’ category at the New Milton Music Festival.

Variety Show

Tuesday 22nd March and Wednesday 23rd March see our two performances for the Ballard School ‘Variety Show’. We look forward to an array of music, dance and drama  – a perfect end to our Spring term in Performing Arts.
