Ballard School – Artistic Impression #12

Our Artistic Impression #12 focuses our Year 5 trip to Russell-Cotes where they went to make puppets and masks as part of their tour of the house. Our Year 7s have finished their clay cars. Year 8 had a surprise letter from Emily Stracey  and our GCSE Art group held an exhibition in our Chapel.

Year 5

Y5 went on a trip to the Russell Cotes museum on 9th June. They had a lovely time learning about the house and the history.

They then looked round the puppet exhibition and then they had an opportunity to draw ‘in situ’. They then made puppets in the afternoon.

We also have a few tweets from our trip!

Year 7

Our Year 7 topic this year, Transport, is completed with their Clay Cars. We think they look fantastic!

Year 8

Our Year 8 group had a great surprise when they were sent a letter… from artist Emily Stracey, from whom the ‘Criminal Cats’ project was inspired by. We have blogged in the past about this (see Artistic Impression #8  and Artistic Impression #3  ) .  See the note below!
