Year 8 Trip – Day 2 Stratford -Tuesday 28th June 2016

June 28, 2016

Day 2 update from Year 8

After last night’s football result (Mr and Mrs Marshall are nearly over it) we are in brighter spirits having visited Shakespeare’s birth place and taken part in a deconstruction of A Midsummer’s Night Dream ( which we are watching tonight). Freddie, Becky and Lulu were stars of the session answering many questions and demonstrating great knowledge and English skills.

Visiting Shakespeare’s Birthplace

After visiting Shakespeare’s birthplace this morning and having the opportunity for some more acting we visited Anne Hathaway’s house. The rain dampened our spirits but it was great to see the house in which Shakespeare’s wife lived along with 13 generations of Hathaways after her.

Evening plans

We are currently preparing for our evening visit to the royal Shakespeare company to see ‘A Midsummer’s Night Dream’. The boys are putting a bit more effort into their appearance and they have been taught how to compliment a lady by Mr Marshall ( with input from Mrs Marshall).
